Job Overview The Data Engineering team at arenaflex is responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop and maintain cutting-edge data pipelines, databases, and data systems. As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems, ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of data pipelines. This is a full-time remote work opportunity, offering a competitive salary of $27 per hour, with a standard 8-hour workday. Key Responsibilities Gather data requirements, design, and develop data pipelines, databases, and data systems to support business needs Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, data validation processes, and data quality control mechanisms Design and implement database schema, tables, and views to support data analysis and modeling Develop and maintain automated workflows, data schedulers, and data processing scripts Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure data quality and integrity Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve data systems and processes Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field At least 2 years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance Proven expertise in Python and SQL (preferably with Snowflake) Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management and development Strong understanding of relational database design and functionality Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, preferably AWS Experience managing and deploying code using a source control system like GitLab/GitHub Experience using Docker Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data modeling, and data architecture Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and apply knowledge to real-world problems Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
