Job Summary We're seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Patient Advocate Representative I to join our Patient Support Department at our Duluth on-site location. As a key member of our call center operations, you'll be responsible for delivering world-class customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction, and driving business growth through retention efforts and cross-selling. Responsibilities Obtains and processes authorizations for reorders : Ensure seamless reorder processing by obtaining and processing authorizations in a timely and accurate manner. Resolves patient issues and ensures accurate reorder processing : Utilize your exceptional problem-solving skills to resolve patient concerns, ensuring accurate reorder processing via phone, document processing, and medical record validation. Ensures patients have all required medical documentation : Verify that patients have the necessary medical documentation to permit billing of services, as assigned. Maximizes patient base through retention efforts and cross-selling : Develop and implement retention strategies to maintain a strong patient base, while also identifying opportunities for cross-selling via phone. Handles inbound and outbound calls from patients' physicians and referral sources : Provide exceptional customer service, troubleshoot new and existing patient concerns, add services, verify, and explain insurance coverage to patients. Audits configuration of supplies based on supporting documentation : Ensure that supplies are configured correctly, based on supporting documentation, formulary requirements, and manufacturer capabilities. Maintains a strong understanding of medical documentation, Insurance requirements, and company procedures : Stay up-to-date on medical documentation, insurance requirements, and company procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality : Handle sensitive information with the utmost care and confidentiality, as required by the role. Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and flexibility : Demonstrate a strong commitment to attendance and flexibility, meeting the needs of the department as required. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent : A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Customer Service Experience Preferred : While not mandatory, prior customer service experience is highly desirable. Proficient computer literacy and strong keyboarding skills : You'll need to be proficient in computer systems and possess strong keyboarding skills to accurately key data while maintaining strong listening skills. Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills : These essential skills will enable you to excel in this fast-paced environment. Exceptional phone and email etiquette : You'll need to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, physicians, and referral sources. Position may require evening and weekend availability : Be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the department.
