Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer II to join our Ring Data Warehouse team, where you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining efficient, scalable, and security-compliant data pipelines to support our business partners. As an Information Designer, you will work closely with software development engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders across various verticals to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization. Key Responsibilities Gather and analyze requirements from business partners across verticals, such as Memberships, Sales, Invert Strategies, Finance, Product, and more Design, build, and maintain new data ingestions using a combination of local AWS services and internal arenaflex tools and technologies Maintain and improve existing data ingestions, ensuring they meet advancing standards and corporate directives Develop and maintain structures or tools for internal team and external partner use to manage data Perform code audits and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams About the Team The Ring Data Warehouse team at arenaflex is responsible for managing the integrated data repository for Ring, which receives and distributes data from various internal and external sources. These data sources are utilized by multiple stakeholders, including Ring Product engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales teams. We are a collaborative and dynamic team, and we are excited to welcome a new member who shares our passion for data-driven innovation. Essential Qualifications 3+ years of data engineering experience Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines Experience with SQL Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS technologies, such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, file or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases) Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies and business needs.
