Job Overview The Research Design Consultant plays a critical role in supporting our Network Planning Team by identifying and implementing solutions and efficiencies to aid in the flight schedule introduction process. This role requires collaboration with teams across multiple departments, providing analytical and strategic support, and effectively communicating findings with leaders and stakeholders. As a strategic thinker and expert communicator, the Research Design Consultant will have a significant impact on the network design and schedule of arenaflex. Responsibilities Coordinate with teams and leaders within Network Planning and across business teams to ensure cooperation and alignment on multiple efforts and initiatives Analyze schedules and complex datasets to discover relevant insights for stakeholders Synthesize large amounts of data using SQL, Access, Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx Develop high-quality and timely presentation materials to inform and influence senior leaders Navigate the complexities of multiple teams and engagements Analyze historical profitability and performance metrics to gain insight into future performance Contribute to the innovative development of opportunity network designs, connectivity structures, scheduling approaches, and other initiatives that support a wide range of work streams Deliver analysis and solutions that demonstrate a clear understanding of the business problem at hand, as well as the broader impact across the organization Communicate recommendations and results to department and commercial/operational leaders using a communication approach that acknowledges the intended audience and provides a clear path of action May perform other task responsibilities as directed by employee's leaders Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A strong analytical mindset and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders and stakeholders Ability to work collaboratively with teams across multiple departments and functions Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex problems and develop innovative solutions Proficiency in SQL, Access, Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx, or similar data analysis tools A strong understanding of business operations and the ability to analyze historical profitability and performance metrics Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Experience working in a similar role, with a focus on data analysis and strategic planning A degree in a related field, such as business administration, operations research, or statistics Experience working with large datasets and developing data visualizations to communicate complex insights Knowledge of the airline industry or a related field, with an understanding of the complexities of network planning and scheduling Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
