Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Payroll and Database Management Specialist for a Leading Educational Support Services Provider

Job Purpose The role of the Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex is to ensure the accurate and efficient entry of payroll data into our payroll software, maintain up-to-date employee records, and provide support to both the Human Resources and Accounting departments. This critical position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll and database management systems. Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including: Verifying timecards for completeness and accuracy, adding missing punches, correcting errors, and updating time off balances as necessary Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures by adding data to employee profiles and maintaining accurate records Providing support to the Accounting department by entering student invoices and therapist invoices into NetSuite Assisting with other data entry tasks as required, including updating databases and maintaining employee records Collaborating with the HR Manager to ensure the accurate and timely completion of tasks and projects Human Resources Department Responsibilities In this role, you will work closely with the Human Resources department to: Verify timecards on a daily basis, adding missing punches and correcting errors as necessary Update time off balances and add holidays in accordance with company policy Perform other tasks as assigned by the HR Manager Accounting Department Responsibilities You will also provide support to the Accounting department by: Entering student invoices in NetSuite for GI Entering therapist invoices into NetSuite Assisting with other data entry tasks as required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role, with a strong track record of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent typing speed and accuracy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and maintain confidentiality at all times Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: At least 2 years of experience as a data entry clerk, with a strong understanding of payroll and database management systems Associate degree in business, preferably accounting, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices Experience working with ADP Payroll and NetSuite, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software Working Conditions This is a full-time, remote position, offering the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. You will need to have a reliable computer, keyboard, mouse, and office equipment, as well as a quiet and dedicated workspace.
