Job Details arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join its Information Science group. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that involve applying data science principles to design, test, implement, and develop data-driven solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, with a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred, but not required. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner. Key Responsibilities Apply data science techniques to design, test, and scale effective, robust structures, systems, and models to improve the usefulness of large data and predictive applications Analyze, implement, and test algorithms and tools to solve data challenges and improve the quality and reliability of data Develop applications according to requirements; design, code, test, deploy, and iterate on existing systems Research and stay up-to-date on development methodologies and technologies Collaborate with data scientists, application developers, product managers, and engineers to develop and maintain software for new and existing products Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements Develop and maintain technical documentation of data science projects and applications Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering Active experience with developing and deploying predictive models and data science applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, PySpark, Spark, Scala, Java, PyTorch, or TensorFlow Experience with data visualization tools and techniques Intermediate-level knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with Amazon Web Services tools such as Redshift, Snowflake, SageMaker, or other similar platforms Experience with translating vague client requirements into clear problem definitions and communicating them effectively Knowledge of Docker and containerization Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong programming skills, with the ability to develop and deploy predictive models and data science applications Experience with data visualization tools and techniques, with the ability to communicate complex insights effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
