Job Description We are seeking experienced elementary teachers to join our community of Teacher-Tutors, providing virtual small group instruction to elementary students in grades K-5. As a TbT Teacher-Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of students across the country, while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy that comes with remote work. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, virtual small group instruction to elementary students in grades K-5, focusing on ELA and/or Math subjects. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, tailored to the needs of each student, to promote academic growth and confidence. Utilize technology, such as Google Classroom and Zoom, to facilitate seamless online instruction and communication with students and parents. Collaborate with colleagues and TbT staff to ensure consistency and quality in instruction, as well as to share best practices and resources. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in online instruction and to enhance your teaching skills. Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: 3 years of lead teaching experience in a U.S. K-12 public, private, or charter school, with a focus on ELA and/or Math instruction. A valid U.S. teaching credential or certification. Daytime availability (8am-4pm Eastern) for tutoring sessions. Experience teaching in an online environment, preferably with a platform like Google Classroom and Zoom. Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and other digital tools. Bonus points for experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math, working with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction, and dedication to advancing equity in schools.
