Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Financial Investigator to join our team. As a Lead Financial Investigator, you will play a critical role in administering, maintaining, and continuously improving the business intelligence and logic of our financial systems. This position requires a highly analytical and self-motivated individual who is comfortable working across multiple associations and with skip-level management. The primary responsibilities of this role include creating and updating allocation rules, supporting the month-end close cycle, performing analysis, reporting, and ad-hoc requests, and identifying partners and managing ongoing relationships. Key Responsibilities and Obligations Utilize business intelligence and data to create and update allocation rules and rulesets Ensure the appropriate degree of accuracy in allocations Anticipate business requirements and update system logic in accordance with controls and materiality guidelines Support the month-end close cycle by ensuring financial integrity in fully yielded designs through monthly validations and ad-hoc journal entries Support the budget process, data repetitions, and perform what-if/scenario analysis Support standardized dashboards, collaborate effectively, and serve as the allocation subject matter expert for colleagues Develop and maintain knowledge of blithequark's financial systems and close cycles Lead highly complex work, analysis, ad-hoc requests, and special projects with minimal oversight Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, skills, and experience. The essential qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in a field related to Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent experience 3+ years of financial reporting, analysis, budget cycle, profit, and cost management experience CPA/MBA or equivalent experience Experience with PowerBI/Dashboard tools and OAC Excellent written and verbal communication skills Leadership skills Knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and financial reporting Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Oracle Cloud, and Smart View experience Preferred qualifications include experience with SQL and data analysis tools, as well as a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
