Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst and Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on merchant discount income, identifying drivers of change, and driving process improvement among our regional pricing groups. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning our organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth. Key Responsibilities Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing groups for all reporting and forecasting related activities Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing groups that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in finance/accounting/business High proficiency with Excel is required Solid attention to detail and organization Solid analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required Excellent communication skills - both written and oral Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates with: A strong relationship with the board and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives A strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a high-speed, dynamic team environment, which puts an emphasis on driving results An innovative thinker who will challenge conventional approaches to getting things done and develop new ways to approach old challenges Solid project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution A customer-focused mindset; demonstrated desire to understand and address customer needs and pain points Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize accordingly Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
