About the Role We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis, working remotely. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability through data-driven insights and strategic planning. You will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on merchant discount income, identifying trends and drivers of change, and developing financial models to inform business decisions. Key Responsibilities Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change. Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region. Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing groups for all reporting and forecasting related activities. Support external audits, including investigating issues found, communicating with regional pricing groups, and managing resolutions. Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, or other financial roles. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business; advanced degrees are preferred. High proficiency in Excel and other financial software applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop complex financial models and draw valuable insights from large datasets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and build strong relationships. A strong work ethic and ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with programming languages such as SAS or SQL. Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques. Experience with financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting. Certifications such as CFA or CPA are a plus.
