Experienced Freight Dispatcher / Load Finder for Cargo Van Business

I’m launching a cargo van business and I’m looking for an experienced dispatcher or freight coordinator to help me get up and running. Your primary responsibility will be finding profitable loads and acting as my dispatcher — handling the full process from sourcing to booking so I can focus on driving and running the business. Responsibilities: • Research and connect with freight brokers, load boards, and direct shippers. • Negotiate rates and secure profitable loads for a cargo van (non-CDL). • Handle all paperwork and contracts associated with each load. • Send me clear daily/weekly schedules of booked loads and pickup/delivery details. • Help me build and maintain relationships with brokers for recurring loads. • Track payments and assist with basic recordkeeping for each job. Requirements: • Proven experience as a dispatcher, freight coordinator, or load finder (preferably with cargo vans, sprinter vans, or box trucks). • Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop, or other load boards. • Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure competitive rates. • Clear communication skills and ability to work independently. • Reliable and responsive — able to send loads in real time when I’m ready to drive. Preferred Qualifications: • Existing broker or carrier relationships. • Experience working with independent owner-operators. • Understanding of ELD/logging requirements (if applicable). • Ability to scale with me as the business grows (more vans, more routes).
