Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Engineer to join our team. As a Big Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications using cutting-edge technologies such as Hadoop, Big Data, Data Science/ML, Python, SQL, and UNIX. You will be part of a fast-moving, pioneering team that enables batch/real-time analytical solutions using innovative technologies to deliver innovative solutions across multiple lines of businesses. Key Responsibilities Programming Improvement: Intermediate to advanced level capability in software development, with the ability to contribute to software works through reliable development practices (tools, common components, and documentation) Code Reviews and Testing: Participate in code reviews and automated testing, and troubleshoot basic software components and identify code deserts for remediation Deployment and Monitoring: Enable the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments, and automate solutions in test or production environments Leadership: Valuable opportunity to lead a small team of engineers and inspire them to achieve their full potential, and influence colleagues with innovative changes and improvements by challenging the norm and demonstrating risk-taking Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop software applications, and apply representation and other techniques to quick track ideas Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent, or Master's in Computer Applications or equivalent 3+ years of software development experience and leading teams of engineers and scrum teams 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Guide Reduce, Hive, Spark (core, SQL, and PySpark) Strong Data warehousing concepts and knowledge of Financial reporting environment will be an plus Expertise in Distributed environment and programming using Core Java or Python/Scala Experience in UNIX shell scripting and ability to design and develop advanced Data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing Should have experience in analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of system applications Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of cloud platforms like GCP/AWS, building Microservices and scalable solutions, will be a benefit 3+ years of experience in designing and building solutions using Kafka streams or queues Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and using CI/CD pipelines Experience with NoSQL i.e., HBase, Couchbase, MongoDB is good to have Amazing technical and business acumen Excellent communication and project management skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
