Your days will be filled with assessing data using SQL and Python, conducting in-depth data analysis and research, creating complex reports and dashboards, and contributing to critical business decisions. You'll have the opportunity to develop new skills and expertise in a dynamic and remote-friendly work environment where your mastery will be valued and your career can flourish. **Key Responsibilities:** * Work cross-functionally with Technical Accounting, Financial Accounting, Design, Product, Finance, Audit, Legal, and other teams on processes, cycles, and projects, and assist with driving key system drives and enhancements * Create and plan comprehensive bookkeeping data requirements to work with the continuous automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and efficiency in financial cycles * Lead functional improvement drives to further streamline income tasks and shorten the income close schedule * Screen data quality of journal entries prepared via the Income Subledger and plan Data Quality checks for identified use cases through bookkeeping requirements planning, special examinations, new product launches, etc. * Work with the Product and Design teams to continuously improve our daily Income Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation investigation with the help of the analysis team * Review meetings and evaluate impact on existing or need for new bookkeeping requirements for the Income Subledger * Cross-collaborate with collaborating teams on the journal entry streams for new or existing products for automation via the Income Subledger * Perform monthly income bookkeeping close liabilities, including but not limited to: GAAP income analysis, cost of income analysis, debt claims compromises, review journal entries, and audit close bundle expectations * Conduct special examinations and projects as assigned **We're Excited About You Because:** * 3+ years of experience in income bookkeeping, data analysis, and business intelligence * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Income Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS an plus * Transitional/high-level SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of conditional data, Python an plus * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to adapt to changing work environments * Ability to communicate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and remotely **About arenaflex** At arenaflex, our mission to engage local economies shapes how our colleagues move quickly, learn, and prioritize to make significant decisions that show empathy for our range of clients – from Dashers to partner merchants to customers.
