Job Summary As a Computer Programmer 2 at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native solutions. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with product managers, business partners, and customers to understand client pain points and develop creative solutions that meet their needs in an agile development environment. Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to manage call to monitor system/product feature/service for corruption, downtime, or interruptions and gain approval to restore system/product/service for straightforward issues. Stay current in skills by investing time and effort into keeping up-to-date with current technologies that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, visibility, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, AND technical engineering experience in coding in languages including, but not limited to, Golang, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience. A willingness to work in open-source, communicating with both colleagues and open-source contributors asynchronously via GitHub, Slack, and regular local meetings on Zoom. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience writing Golang applications, building Kubernetes operators, contributing to Kubernetes core or other CNCF projects, and transforming cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.). Experience with containers and container security, with a proven track record of remote work and ideally, experience contributing to open-source projects. A strong ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with external contributors. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong programming skills in one or more languages, including Golang, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Experience with cloud computing platforms, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker, and container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes. Strong understanding of software development principles, including agile development, test-driven development, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external contributors.
