This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and leadership skills. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, develop data-driven solutions, and drive business outcomes. **Key Responsibilities** * **30% Project Development and Improvement**: Use your expertise to design and develop data models and algorithms to drive business outcomes; Make data-driven recommendations to business stakeholders and leaders; Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; Collaborate with business partners to drive project execution and delivery * **25% Project Management and Team Support**: Lead and manage large and complex projects and teams; Provide guidance on project prioritization and quality assurance; Mentor and train junior team members to develop their technical skills; Collaborate with leaders and teams to deliver project outcomes and resources; Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more data science techniques, both predictive and prescriptive; Lead data science networks across multiple business units * **20% Business Collaboration**: Influence business decisions through data-driven insights; Foster trust and collaboration with internal clients and cross-functional teams; Provide technical training on advanced analytics to the data science community; Collaborate with IT to identify opportunities for new tools and technologies to maintain technical expertise in data science; Identify new business opportunities to leverage data science as a competitive advantage * **25% Technical Research and Development**: Stay up-to-date with key advancements in data science by attending conferences and publishing papers; Participate in the continuous improvement of data science and analytics by developing reusable solutions (e.g., packaged data products, project documentation, process flowcharts) to ensure solutions are used in future projects; Define best practices and develop a clear vision for data analysis and model productionalization; Own reusable algorithms for future use, ensuring created code/models are documented; Develop expertise in one or more prescriptive modeling techniques, such as machine learning, computer vision, recommendation, search, or NLP **Direct Supervisor/Direct Reports** This position typically reports to a director or above This position has 0 direct reports and leads/oversees projects **Travel Requirements** Occasional travel under 10% of the time **Physical Requirements** Mostly spent sitting in a comfortable position with continuous opportunity to move about; Occasionally may need to move or lift light objects **Working Conditions** Located in a comfortable indoor environment; Any adverse conditions would be rare and not unexpected **Minimum Qualifications** Must be 18 years old or older Must be legally authorized to work in the US Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis Demonstrated expertise using statistical procedures to identify key insights that help solve business problems **Preferred Qualifications** Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related field Proven track record of delivering high-impact data science projects and solutions Experience with machine learning, deep learning, and/or natural language processing Experience with data visualization tools and technologies Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies **What We Offer** * Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) retirement plan with company match * Generous paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and talented data scientist looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
