About the Role We are seeking a full-time radiologist to join our thriving, expanding Division of Abdominal Imaging. The abdominal imaging division is staffed by 22 radiologists who provide inpatient and outpatient subspecialty imaging services covering a wide range of conditions. Position opening is for expansion due to increased volume, and eligible for remote work. Key Responsibilities: Rotate 1 week on (7 days, 9-hour shift, 6p-3am) and 2 weeks off (inclusive of recovery, vacation, CME, academic) Provide interpretations in conjunction with trainees at one of the Southeast's busiest Level 1 trauma centers (Grady Memorial Hospital) Focus clinical care exclusively on abdominal and chest imaging, with the ability to read other emergency imaging exams Interpret CT of the chest abdomen and pelvis, acute ultrasound examinations, and radiography Participate in both clinical and non-clinical divisional activities, including education and trainee supervision Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have: A demonstrated career interest in abdominal and/or chest imaging Strong clinical skills, with the ability to function in a fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment ABR Board-certified/eligible and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license Subspecialty training or emergency imaging experience is desired Preferred Qualifications: We are looking for candidates who have: Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center Ability to interpret coronary CTA or willingness to receive training Strong educational and research background, with a desire to contribute to the department's academic and research missions Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you will need: Excellent clinical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret a wide range of imaging modalities Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex imaging data and make accurate diagnoses Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: We offer a range of opportunities for career growth and professional development, including: Participation in departmental and university-wide educational programs and conferences Opportunities for research and scholarship, with access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment and technology Collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including radiologists, surgeons, and other specialists Access to a range of training and development programs, including mentorship and coaching Work Environment and Company Culture: We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that supports the well-being and success of our employees.
