As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying web and cloud applications that support our animation and storytelling processes. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, design and implement scalable and efficient solutions, and collaborate with our QA and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of our applications. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and deploy web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including Java, Python, and JavaScript * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, design and implement scalable and efficient solutions * Work closely with our QA and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of our applications * Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner * Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software engineering and apply this knowledge to improve our applications and processes **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field * 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on web and cloud applications * Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and JavaScript, with experience in at least one of these languages * Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP * Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes * Experience with cloud-native applications and microservices architecture * Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD * Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban * Strong understanding of security principles and best practices * Experience with testing and quality assurance frameworks, such as JUnit and Selenium **Skills and Competencies** * Strong technical skills, with a focus on web and cloud applications * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements * Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles * Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP * Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At Walt Disney Animation Studios, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
