What You'll Do As a Coach and Operations Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for leading and developing teams effectively, driving financial performance, and providing exceptional customer service. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading and developing teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates Touring stores and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach) Communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction Introducing and leading company change efforts Providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions Communicating business objectives to teams effectively Modeling and demonstrating exceptional customer service standards to store associates Managing and supporting customer service initiatives Ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved Developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies Providing process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience Driving the financial performance and sales of the designated store area Reviewing and evaluating P&L (Profit & Loss) statements Managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses Monitoring and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes Developing and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved Requirements and Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: 2 years of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications: We prefer candidates with: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing What We Offer At Walmart, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive salary Multiple health plan options, including vision & dental plans for you & dependents Financial benefits, including 401(k), stock purchase plans, life insurance, and more Associate discounts in-store and online Education assistance for Associate and dependents Parental Leave Pay during military service Paid Time off - to include vacation, sick, parental Short-term and long-term disability for when you can't work because of injury, illness, or childbirth Work Environment and Company Culture At Walmart, we strive to create a work environment that is inclusive, diverse, and respectful.
