Job Summary As a Remote Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you will play a critical role in providing support to health plan members, providers, and their representatives. You will be responsible for answering inbound inquiries, conducting outbound calls, and resolving customer complaints in a prompt, courteous, and empathetic manner. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to health plan members, providers, and their representatives via phone, email, and other communication channels. Answer and manage inbound inquiries regarding health plan benefits and claims, eligibility, medical and other healthcare procedures, billing and payments, and other related topics. Conduct outbound and/or return calls to customers, as necessary, to resolve issues and provide information. Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues, and provide clear and concise responses. Document relevant information in computer systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Communicate and partner with customers tactfully and empathetically to resolve issues, using clear language and translating healthcare-related jargon and complex processes into simple, step-by-step instructions. Handle and process customer complaints/grievances, applying conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially stressful situations. Meet performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, accuracy, quality, member satisfaction, and attendance. Essential Qualifications: 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service environment. High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems. Empathy and tact in handling customer complaints and issues. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the healthcare industry. Knowledge of healthcare-related terminology and processes. Certifications or training in customer service or conflict management.
