As a Fully Remote Part-Time Tutor, you will have the opportunity to supplement your income while working from the comfort of your own home. About the Role As a part-time Adjunct Tutor, you will be responsible for tutoring students in a variety of academic subjects, communicating with families regarding student progress, and participating in ongoing professional development. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with students in a virtual setting, using our state-of-the-art technology and high-quality materials. Key Responsibilities: Tutor students in a variety of academic subjects (80% of work schedule) Communicate with families regarding student progress, including making recommendations for student success (10% of work schedule) Participate in ongoing professional development and subject expansion (5% of work schedule) Prepare for sessions using Revolution Prep provided materials (5% of work schedule) Requirements and Qualifications To be a great fit for this role, you should have: An engaging personality and a commitment to customer service A "growth mindset" - unafraid of challenges, adaptable to change, and willing to learn A Bachelor's degree; advanced degrees are welcomed Experience teaching or tutoring is desired but not required High-speed internet with the ability to connect via ethernet cable, as well as a clean, quiet, professional setting for online sessions The ability to work on at least one weekend day (all Revolution Prep adjunct tutors are required to be available for at least 8 total hours of tutoring over the course of Saturday and Sunday within our adjunct prime-time hours) The ability to commit to employment and schedule requirements for at least the remainder of the current school year Authorization to work in the United States (current residence must also be in the US) Schedule Requirements To ensure that we can meet our customers' needs and schedule sessions well in advance, Adjunct Tutors are required to post at least 16 hours of availability in blocks of 4+ hours for a goal of 12+ hours of delivery each week (consistent week-to-week) within the prime-time hours: Monday-Thursday: 4-10:00 pm Eastern Time Saturday: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Eastern Time Sunday: 11:00 am - 10:00 pm Eastern time Technology and Equipment Revolution Prep will provide a webcam, headset, ring light, green screen, and an annotation tablet to support you in providing our standard of quality for online instruction. To be successful in the online Adjunct Tutor role, your computer must meet the minimum requirements: A Mac/PC desktop or laptop Mac users: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (version 10.6) or later PC users: Windows 8.1 or later High-speed internet with strong and reliable reception/service, provided through an ethernet connection 4GB or more of available memory/RAM Compensation and Benefits As a part-time Adjunct Tutor, you can expect a competitive salary of $25.00 per hour.
