As an adjunct faculty member, you will have the opportunity to teach college-level courses in History, primarily on our Bremerton campus, with potential opportunities to teach at our Poulsbo and Shelton campuses. About Olympic College Olympic College is a comprehensive community college that offers instruction in Basic Studies, academic transfer and workforce education degrees and certificates, and community education in our two-county region. Key Responsibilities Teach college-level courses in History, primarily on the Bremerton campus, with potential opportunities to teach at our Poulsbo and Shelton campuses Develop and deliver high-quality course content, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments Provide individualized support and guidance to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment Maintain accurate records of student progress and complete required forms and reports Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and policies Collaborate with colleagues and staff to foster a culture of excellence and student success Essential Qualifications Master's degree in History from an accredited college or university Previous teaching experience, preferably at the community college level Ability to teach U.S. History and/or World History courses Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications College-level teaching experience Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with disabilities Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technology Experience with curriculum development and assessment Skills and Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and staff Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to teach in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Commitment to student-centered learning and diversity, equity, and inclusion Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits Olympic College is committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our faculty members. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits Olympic College offers a competitive salary range of $1,496 - $1,604 per quarter, depending on experience.
