About the Role As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the face of our company, interacting with customers via phone, email, and chat to provide personalized support and resolve their issues in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to our healthcare customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Conduct research and make outbound calls to provide answers to customers regarding general healthcare benefit and eligibility questions, enrollment status requests, and other related topics Assist members with logging into and understanding the functionality of their online health account, locating doctor and facility information, and navigating our website and mobile app Recommend upgrades to health plans and provide education on our products and services, ensuring that customers have the information they need to make informed decisions about their healthcare Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless customer experiences and resolve complex issues Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer service and healthcare What You Bring to the Role To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong passion for helping others, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should also have: At least 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or related field High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to learn new software and systems quickly High-speed internet access (> 15 mbps) and a dedicated workspace that is quiet, private, and free from distractions A USB wired headset (or equivalent) and a smartphone or device that runs iOS or Android Integrity and a strong commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively Knowledge of healthcare terminology, concepts, and practices, as well as experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and health information exchanges (HIEs) Certification in customer service, healthcare, or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers who speak languages other than English What You Can Expect At blithequark, we're committed to supporting the career and professional development of our team members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
