About the Role We're currently seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a member of our Data Innovation Group, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud and conventional infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from server load balancing and application scaling to middleware issue resolution and data center operations. Key Responsibilities Design and implement cloud and conventional infrastructure solutions based on plans from infrastructure architects Provide expert knowledge of concepts related to server load balancing, WAS clustering, and application scaling Investigate and resolve middleware issues across development, testing, and production environments Proactively monitor local and remote data center operations and equipment, including UPSs, air conditioning, power, and office security systems Foster a culture of sharing and collaboration among team members Stay up-to-date with systems technology best practices and evolving technologies to maintain area expertise and suggest improvements or changes Support communication and response processes by answering client inquiries on system issues, support, and system status, and advising and escalating on any long-term or significant issues Manage and maintain Windows Dynamic Registry, including DNS and Group Policies Provide guidance to lower-level professionals and assist when and where necessary Participate in projects as required, including rotational on-call schedule for off-hours support Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 3 years of experience as an organization or infrastructure engineer or administrator Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 3+ years of experience as an organization or infrastructure engineer or administrator Skills, Licenses, and Certifications Advanced ability to think critically for current and future business conditions, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, adaptable solutions In-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processes Demonstrated expertise in the following areas: Server Administration - Linux (RHEL/CentOS 7/8) and Windows (2012/2016) Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Python, Slam, and PowerShell Cloud Technologies - Design, development, and delivery of cloud-native applications (Microsoft Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud) DevOps - CI/CD, GitHub, Artifactory, or Jenkins Containerization - Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry Server and Application Monitoring - Dynatrace, LogDNA, and SysDig Ability to analyze complex problems and implement solutions or workarounds Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a strong desire to learn and grow in depth of knowledge Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and leverage best practices Demonstrated drive, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing needs and workplaces Proficiency in Integrated project management methodology, specifically within the infrastructure area Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
