Job Summary We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced LEAD After School Instructor to lead our after school programs at various campuses. As a LEAD After School Instructor, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering hands-on, engaging educational activities that promote student growth and development. You'll work closely with our Enrichment Program Specialists, campus principals, and other stakeholders to ensure that our programs are of the highest quality and meet the needs of our students. Key Responsibilities Enrichment Management: Provide hands-on, engaging educational activities to students, and submit activity lesson and unit plans on pre-arranged dates to Enrichment Program Specialists. Student Growth and Development: Recruit and retain students in enrichment program classes, and travel with students to supervise group during evening and/or weekend events and showcases. Classroom Management: Supervise students during all assigned program hours and settings, including dismissal and transitions, and create a classroom environment conducive to learning. Organization Improvement: Adhere to general instruction and guidance from Enrichment Program Specialist, and ensure that all after school duties and instruction during assigned LEAD working hours are directly related to the LEAD program. Communication and Community Relations: Be a positive role model for students, support the mission of the District, and maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and community members. Professional Growth and Development: Attend all trainings as assigned, become an integral and contributing member of the after school team, and follow the guidelines set forth by campus and district. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or regional accrediting agency). Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Experience working with school-based personnel, community groups, and/or youth groups. Strong behavior management skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in teaching or leading after school programs. Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and needs. Skills and Competencies Strong lesson planning and delivery skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
