We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our Ads Data Solutions Research team, where you will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive business impact through data-driven insights. Job Responsibilities As a Lead Data Scientist at blithequark, you will be responsible for leading the development of models and solutions to tackle a range of exciting challenges, including revenue, inventory, delivery, outcome, pricing of marketing and marketing, client lifetime value estimation, forecasting, fraud prevention and mitigation, and more. Your key responsibilities will include: Designing, building, and enhancing systems by learning models, working end-to-end from data collection, feature generation and selection, algorithm development, forecasting, visualization, and communication of model results Collaborating with engineering to produce models and driving experimentation to test the effect of the model based on total optimization Developing comprehensive knowledge of audience, brand, and ad operational data systems and metrics, and mining large data sets to identify opportunities for driving marketing revenue, viewer ad experience, and subscriber growth and retention Developing prototype solutions, mathematical models, algorithms, and robust analytics leading to actionable insights communicated clearly and visually Partnering closely with business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities, and with other data teams to enhance platform capabilities around data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and data architecture Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Statistics) 7+ years of experience designing, building, and comparing realistic systems learning solutions 7+ years of experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, Spark, PySpark) and database languages (e.g., SQL) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A Doctorate's degree in a quantitative discipline Excellent analytical skills, advanced level of data knowledge Strong knowledge of Python and libraries including sci-kit-learn, SciPy Familiarity with Bayesian modeling and probabilistic programming applications such as PyMC Familiarity with data structures and systems including Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Airflow, Github Familiarity with data exploration and data visualization tools including Tableau, Looker Familiarity with designing and interpreting A/B testing and other test types Demonstrated skills in choosing the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem Ability to adapt quickly in fast-moving environments with shifting priorities Strong communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and in a timely manner, including large and complex ones Demonstrated leadership experience, including people and project management Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Spark, and SQL Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with shifting priorities and tight deadlines Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
