Job Overview We are seeking an exceptional Lead Technical Project Manager with a specialization in Generative AI to spearhead our cutting-edge projects. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and orchestrating the development of advanced AI products that support our business strategies. As a Lead Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading complex Generative AI projects, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with our overall product roadmap and business objectives. Key Responsibilities • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and lead complex project plans, ensuring seamless collaboration across various teams and workstreams, and manage project timelines, scope, prioritization, cost, dependencies, and performance risks. • Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in user analytics tools to guide project decisions and lead the integration and effective use of generative AI and content-related technologies within the project scope. • Risk Management: Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success. • Team Collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, fostering a collaborative and productive environment, and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project goals and progress. • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and prioritization plans, and provide regular project updates to stakeholders. • Strategic Alignment: Assist product owners in developing outcome-based roadmaps, aligning project goals with strategic outcomes, and support technical owners in benchmarking tools, providing insights on tool selection and implementation. • Vendor Management: Coordinate the RFP/RFI process with Sourcing partners for vendor/product selection, focusing on Generative AI technologies, and supervise project planning during discovery phases to ensure a robust understanding of AI technologies and their business implications. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Essential Qualifications • Experience: 7+ years of Program/Project management experience in software development of AI, with a preference for recent experience in Generative AI/LLM projects and leading cross-functional teams. • Technical Understanding: Technical understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and experience working with AI vendors. • Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Scrum management, with a history of successful project velocity and completion forecasting. • Project Management Tools: Demonstrated expertise using project management tools, especially JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub. • Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and a strong understanding of current LLM technologies and their business applications. • Communication and Problem-Solving: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both business and technical teams. • Financial Management: Experience with financial/budget management and complex cost-benefit analysis. Preferred Qualifications • AI Product Management: Understanding of AI product management methodologies. • Project Management Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. • Agile Certifications: Agile Certifications (CSM; ACP; CSPO; SAFe; LeSS). • Generative AI/LLM Certifications: Generative AI/LLM certifications. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including medical, financial, and other benefits. The hiring range for this position is $149,240 - $200,200 per year in Anaheim, CA, and $156,292 - $209,660 per year in Seattle, WA. We also offer a bonus and/or long-term incentive units as part of the compensation package, dependent on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
