About the Role We are looking for an exceptional Lead Technical Writer with data analytics expertise to join our team. As a Lead Technical Writer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing content strategies that align with business goals and improve the usability and accessibility of technical information. Key Responsibilities Establish and enforce technical documentation standards, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all platform documentation Develop and implement content strategies that align with business goals and improve the usability and accessibility of technical information Design and structure information architecture to ensure logical flow, ease of navigation, and effective content retrieval for users Create clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation, including API documentation, user guides, and system overviews Integrate technical documentation with content management systems (CMS), including setting up workflows, templates, and version control Work closely with data product teams to understand their needs, document their work, and provide guidance on best practices for democratizing their data products Focus on the needs of end-users, including gathering feedback, understanding user requirements, and adapting documentation to improve user experience and satisfaction Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams Commit to continuous improvement of documentation processes and content, including staying current with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and data platform technologies Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: At least 10 years of proven experience in technical writing, with a strong background in documenting complex data platforms, software systems, or related technologies At least 5 years of hands-on experience integrating technical documentation with content management systems (CMS), including managing workflows, templates, and version control A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing content strategies and designing information architecture for technical documentation, with a demonstrated ability to improve documentation usability and structure A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically focused on documenting data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, ETL processes, or similar technologies An undergraduate degree required, with a graduate degree preferred Preference given to candidates with degrees and credentials in agile, technical writing, product management, data and analytics related fields Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Demonstrated experience documenting data products Demonstrated experience working on a modern platform documentation Experience with Contentful and/or Adobe Experience Manager Working knowledge of a variety of healthcare data management processes and techniques, including data standards, interoperability, and proper data privacy Experience with large data, analytics, and technology modernization initiatives Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documentation Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data and technical systems Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including data product teams and stakeholders Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a focus on staying current with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and data platform technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At CVS Health, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
