About the Job We are seeking an experienced and skilled Local Truck Driver to join our team at blithequark. As a dedicated driver, you will be responsible for operating a company-owned vehicle, running approximately 600 miles per day, and performing drop and hook work for our dedicated customers. You will be based out of our terminal in Liverpool, NY, and will return home every night, with a guaranteed 5 days on and 2 days off schedule. This means you will have the opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones and maintain a healthy work-life balance. No slip seating is required, and you will be assigned a dedicated truck, either a 2014 or newer Freightliner or Western Star. Our trucks are well-maintained, and we take pride in providing our drivers with the best equipment to ensure their safety and success on the road. Job Summary Company Driver (W2, Solo) Dry Van Local $1,200 - $1,500 total weekly average pay 3,000 - 3,250 average miles per week Dedicated, Line Haul Day shift No Driver Load/Unload Home Time 5 days on, 2 days off Home every weekend Benefits Medical, Dental, and 401K Paid holidays Paid vacation Core Responsibilities As a Local Truck Driver at blithequark, your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area Being available for work at all times in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules Submitting customer paperwork and deposits, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations Hiring Requirements To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following requirements: Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (E) No Manual, (L,Z) Air Brakes, (O) No Semi Trailer, or (K) Intrastate Only 12 months of Tractor-Trailer experience We're an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome applications from qualified candidates who share our values and are committed to providing excellent customer service.
