About the Job As a local truck driver at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. A typical day for our drivers involves coming into our terminal and running approximately 600 miles per day, doing drop and hook work for our dedicated customers. You will have the comfort of returning home every night, with a dedicated truck and a set schedule that allows for minor changes from week to week. We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why we offer a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule, with home time every weekend. Our drivers are the backbone of our operation, and we are committed to providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed. Job Summary Company Driver (W2, Solo) Dry Van Local $1,200 - $1,500 total weekly average pay 3,000 - 3,250 average miles per week Dedicated, Line Haul Day shift No Driver Load/Unload Home Time 5 days on, 2 days off Home every weekend Benefits Medical, Dental, and 401K Paid holidays Paid vacation Core Responsibilities As a local truck driver at blithequark, your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area Being available for work at all times in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules Submitting customer paperwork and deposits, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations Hiring Requirements To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements: Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (E) No Manual, (L,Z) Air Brakes, (O) No Semi Trailer or (K) Intrastate Only 12 months Tractor Trailer experience We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from qualified candidates.
