About the Job As a local truck driver at blithequark, you will be responsible for operating a dedicated truck, running approximately 600 miles per day, and performing drop and hook work for our valued customers. Your day will typically begin and end at our terminal in Liverpool, NY, ensuring that you are home every night with your loved ones. With a consistent weekly schedule and minimal changes, you can expect a routine that allows you to plan and manage your personal life with ease. We understand the importance of having a comfortable and reliable vehicle, which is why we provide our drivers with 2014 or newer Freightliners and Western Stars. You will be assigned a dedicated truck, eliminating the need for slip seating, and allowing you to take pride in your vehicle and your work. Job Summary Company Driver (W2, Solo) Dry Van Local $1,200 - $1,500 total weekly average pay 3,000 - 3,250 average miles per week Dedicated, Line Haul Day shift No Driver Load/Unload Home Time and Benefits We believe in providing our drivers with a healthy work-life balance, which is why we offer a competitive home time schedule. You can expect to work 5 days on and have 2 days off, with the guarantee of being home every weekend. In addition to our competitive pay and home time schedule, we offer a range of benefits, including: Medical, Dental, and 401K Paid holidays Paid vacation Core Responsibilities As a local truck driver at blithequark, your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Inspecting your vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area Being available for work at all times to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules Submitting customer paperwork and deposits, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations Hiring Requirements To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following requirements: Hold a Class A license without any of the following restrictions: (E) No Manual, (L,Z) Air Brakes, (O) No Semi Trailer or (K) Intrastate Only Have a minimum of 12 months Tractor Trailer experience We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from qualified candidates who share our values and are committed to providing excellent customer service.
