Job Overview The MAASE Associate Executive Director, Training and Development, will play a critical role in shaping the future of educational excellence in our region. This position reports directly to the MAASE Executive Director and is responsible for the development and execution of training and development programs, grant management, and revenue generation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in educational leadership, excellent communication and project management skills, and a passion for promoting educational excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the annual schedule of programs and events to achieve the Board-approved strategic and financial priorities Create business plans for profitability and impact of MAASE programs, special events, and grant programs Oversee revenue generation and budget management in cooperation with the Director of Business and Finance and Board Treasurer Provide direct assistance to and supervision of assigned staff and contractors Mentor, coach, appraise, and support professional development for assigned staff Develop and manage budgets for assigned staff, programs, and federal grants Facilitate systems thinking and the development of structures to support large-scale initiatives utilizing implementation science Communicate orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders Facilitate effective meetings, provide results-oriented staff development, and promote collaborative team processes Work collaboratively with the Professional Learning Steering Committee to plan, organize, and provide professional development activities Essential Qualifications Possess current Michigan Administrator Certification or be enrolled in a program leading to certification as a school administrator Three to five years of successful experience as a school administrator Current teaching certificate or related services approval required Knowledge of state and federal mandates that impact special education and general education programs, services, and student achievement Demonstrated skills with supervisory functions such as appraisal, team building, coaching, continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, problem-solving, and conflict management Preferred Qualifications Approval as a Special Education Director Experience as a MAASE volunteer leader Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment and work collaboratively Strong understanding of the use of data and research within a strategic planning and continuous improvement process Utilizes interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and gain cooperation of others internally and externally Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Ingham Intermediate School District, we are committed to the growth and development of our staff. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $132,610 - $143,290 per year, depending on experience.
