Job Summary We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Tutor to join our team at Mathnasium of Laurelwood in San Mateo, CA. As a Math Tutor, you'll play a critical role in creating an engaging and productive learning experience for our students. You'll work closely with students, parents, and our team to deliver exceptional educational services and help our students achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students using the Mathnasium Method TM Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method TM , terminology, and teaching practices Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A passion for math and working with students Excellent interpersonal skills Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I The ability to balance various ongoing tasks A willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method TM Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with digital educational materials and processes Skills and Competencies To excel as a Math Tutor at Mathnasium of Laurelwood, you'll need: Strong mathematical knowledge and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and skill levels A patient and supportive approach to teaching and learning A willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Mathnasium of Laurelwood, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills.
