As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing experts to ensure that our clients receive the reimbursement they're entitled to. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and in-office work (2/3 days on/off mix), offering the perfect blend of flexibility and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** As a Project Associate at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a range of exciting tasks, including: * **Project Associate Related Duties** + Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency + Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits + Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems + Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients + Running and creating reports to support data-driven decision-making + Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team + Scanning and indexing of documents to ensure seamless data management * **Additional Responsibilities** + Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives + Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders + Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure continuous improvement **Essential Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or computer science) preferred * **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as medical records, data entry, or project support * **Skills**: + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook + Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks + Basic knowledge of medical terminology and coding principles * **Certifications**: Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification a plus **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be a great asset: * **Experience with data analysis and reporting tools** * **Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance** * **Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)** * **Certifications in medical records or coding** **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: * **Attention to detail**: A keen eye for accuracy and precision in data entry and record-keeping * **Organizational skills**: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines * **Communication skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders * **Technical skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with EHRs and hospital patient accounting systems * **Analytical skills**: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
