Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our paid media analytics capability, surfacing data-driven insights to inform key opportunities for our Chief Initiative team. Your focus will be on optimizing our paid media spend worldwide, working closely with marketing teams to identify areas for improvement and developing reporting and analyses to drive decision-making. As a key member of our team, you will play a central role in shaping our paid media strategy, creating and communicating custom reporting and insights that will illuminate our approach. Key Responsibilities Deliver reporting and insights in the area of paid media, leveraging data to drive business decisions Design and build/lead the development of analytics, BI, and data science expectations aimed at optimizing visible paid media and improving marketing efficiencies Collaborate with paid media data science teams and marketing groups on implementing media mix models Conduct ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by intelligent interpretation of results and the reporting and communication of recommendations that drive action Serve as a partner with marketing, finance, and data product teams to tackle business challenges, tracking marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports Analyze data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data (internal data from blithequark, as well as external data from market research and advertising agencies) and address complex business challenges by delivering meaningful insights Conceptualize and run analysis that generates insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve our offerings Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will possess: Experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related field Advanced SQL skills Advanced experience with at least one industry analysis and metrics perception tools (e.g., Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI) Mastery of Excel with a proven track record A degree in data science, business, economics, information technology, statistics, mathematics, or other related field Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A passion for working in a team of highly engaged individuals An enthusiasm for numbers, data, and statistics, as well as for delivering high-quality analysis A strong bias for action, highly organized, and ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction and tight deadlines Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with both business stakeholders and technical teams effectively Experience with subscription, membership-based, or media content organizations Experience with and/or interest in learning more about cutting-edge data science approaches Programming languages: knowledge of Python Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or of statistical programming languages like R or SAS Knowledge of Adobe Analytics Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
