As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers, grow your skills and knowledge, and contribute to the success of our organization. **Key Responsibilities** As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, your primary responsibilities will include: * **Delivering Exceptional Customer Service**: Engage with customers and patients, providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. * **Pharmacy Operations**: Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. * **Cash Handling and Sales**: Register sales on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. * **Inventory Management**: Maintain accurate inventory levels, check in and price merchandise, and perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Store Manager. * **Customer Engagement**: Engage with customers, answer questions, and provide recommendations on products and services, including suggesting trade-up and/or companion items. * **Store Maintenance**: Ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance, and assist with exterior and interior maintenance as needed. * **Training and Development**: Earn and maintain PTCB certification, attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate, and acquire continuing education credits to maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy. **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * **High School Diploma or Equivalent**: Required * **PTCB Certification**: Earned and maintained through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration * **Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills**: Ability to engage with customers, patients, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner * **Basic Math Skills**: Ability to accurately handle cash, process transactions, and maintain accurate records * **Attention to Detail**: Ability to maintain accurate inventory levels, process prescriptions, and ensure compliance with state and local laws * **Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment**: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment **Preferred Qualifications** * **Pharmacy Experience**: Previous experience in a pharmacy setting, including customer service, cash handling, and inventory management * **Customer Service Experience**: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, including resolving customer issues and providing recommendations on products and services * **Basic Computer Skills**: Ability to use pharmacy systems, cash registers, and other technology to perform tasks and maintain accurate records * **Certification in Pharmacy Technology**: Possession of a certification in pharmacy technology, such as the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * **Communication and Interpersonal Skills**: Ability to engage with customers, patients, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner * **Time Management and Organization**: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment * **Attention to Detail**: Ability to maintain accurate inventory levels, process prescriptions, and ensure compliance with state and local laws * **Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking**: Ability to resolve customer issues, process transactions, and maintain accurate records * **Teamwork and Collaboration**: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to: * **Develop Your Skills and Knowledge**: Participate in training and development programs, including PTCB certification, to maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy * **Grow Your Career**: Advance to leadership roles or specialized positions within the pharmacy department, such as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Manager * **Earn Competitive Compensation and Benefits**: Receive competitive compensation, benefits, and perks, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off * **Work in a Dynamic and Supportive Environment**: Collaborate with a team of passionate professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service **Work Environment and Company Culture** arenaflex is committed to creating a work environment that is inclusive, respectful, and supportive of our employees.
