Job Overview The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that customers receive outstanding service, whether through data entry, client support, or other tasks as assigned. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to, processing transactions, managing customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities Models and conveys a particular and great client experience, ensuring that all interactions with customers are courteous, fair, and professional. Registers sales on designated sales register, provides clients with considerate and proficient checkout service, and processes transactions accurately and efficiently. Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including utilizing pharmacy systems to acquire patient and medication information and process prescriptions. Engages clients and patients by greeting them, offering help with items and services, and resolving customer issues to ensure a positive client experience. Maintains counters and retires clean and well-promoted, takes stock, and keeps up with records, ensuring that all areas of responsibility are organized and well-managed. Performs duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and Senior Manager, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, filling prescriptions, and verifying medication for accuracy and potential interactions. Reports remedy mistakes to the pharmacist on duty immediately and adheres to organization policies and procedures corresponding to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. Handles calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians, and processes manual cases for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner. Assists and supports the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unloading, checking, and storing shipments of medications, and maintains knowledge of organization asset protection methods. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours, is also required. Additionally, candidates should have excellent numerical abilities to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications, as well as good computer skills. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, having six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred. Previous work experience with blithequark or similar organizations is also an asset. PTCB certification and knowledge of store inventory control are highly desirable. Candidates with a strong background in customer service, data entry, and pharmacy operations will be given priority consideration.
