Job Overview In this critical role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our members, providers, and pharmacies, addressing their questions, concerns, and issues related to pharmacy benefits, claims, and prior authorizations. Your exceptional customer service skills, combined with your knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, will enable you to provide empathetic support and resolve issues efficiently. As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, you will be an integral part of our team, working together to deliver outstanding service and support to our members. Key Responsibilities Answer questions and handle problems regarding pharmacy benefit, provider, or claim issues in a professional and courteous manner Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as necessary, ensuring timely resolution of issues Spend approximately 90% of your time on the phones, providing empathetic customer service and support to our members Seek approval for overrides and prior authorizations as needed and enter them into the claims system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Monitor pharmacy claims processing and complete data entry of member records, maintaining up-to-date and accurate information Perform other duties or special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities Essential Qualifications 1+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of pharmacy benefits and claims processing A pharmacy technician certification is highly preferred (inactive certifications also apply), demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field 1+ year(s) of PBM or health benefits experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment Experience working in a high-volume call center is highly preferred, with the ability to handle multiple calls and prioritize tasks effectively High school diploma or equivalent, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field Advanced knowledge of pharmacy benefits, claims processing, and prior authorizations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting Experience with claims systems and data entry, with strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with members, providers, and pharmacies Empathetic and patient, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims systems, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
