Job Overview The Pharmacy Resident and Data Entry Specialist will be part of a dynamic team that provides clinical, educational, functional, and administrative support to patients and healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Clinical: Participate in required long-term rotations, including community, specialty, mobile, and medication safety, to achieve the objectives set out by the accreditation guidelines. Educational: Engage in teaching opportunities, including small group and large educational lectures, and act as an assistant preceptor for the community pharmacy practice laboratory. Functional/Managerial: Develop administrative skills as a pharmacist by working with the pharmacy manager at multiple locations and interacting with the Pharmacy Managers at arenaflex to understand the intricacies of pharmacy operations. Leadership/Management: Participate in state and national pharmacy associations, attend Massachusetts Pharmacy Executive meetings, and engage in regulatory projects to advance the practice of pharmacy. Data Entry: Perform remote data entry tasks, including managing and maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Objectives The primary objectives of this role are to: Engage the resident in the clinical, educational, functional, and administrative aspects of community pharmacy practice. Prepare the resident to assume clinical, educational, functional, and administrative responsibilities within the community practice setting. Provide a framework by which the resident contributes to the development of pharmacy services within the community setting. Develop the resident's precepting and teaching skills. Contribute to quality improvement programs where appropriate. Successfully design and implement a longitudinal residency project, as well as present a manuscript for publication in a reputable pharmacy journal. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess: A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a school or college of pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. The ability to obtain a pharmacist license within the state of residency within 90 days of the start of the residency program. Submission of residency application materials to the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS). Participation in and compliance with the rules of the ASHP Resident Matching Program. Certified Immunizer or ability to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will have: Experience in community pharmacy practice or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in electronic health records and data management systems. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
