Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Drive current software practices through design reviews and ensure that our services are modular, secure, reliable, diagnosable, and reusable. Work on system design through clear interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, and using data/telemetry to inform decisions. Improve test coverage for services, organize and implement integration tests, and troubleshoot issues. Ensure testability, compactness/scalability, reliability, and usability, and understand when code is ready to be shared and deployed. Focus on business needs through a data-driven approach and investigate and promote automation, reliability, and monitoring for deployed products. Set the technical vision for data analysis and reporting, aligning with organizational objectives, and provide leadership in directing the overall direction of data analysis technical initiatives. Design, develop, and optimize complex data models and reporting structures, driving the design and implementation of flexible and efficient data analysis and reporting architectures. Ensure the integrity, security, and performance of data products and reporting solutions by partnering with platforms, data architecture, and service teams. Define and implement the long-term technical strategy for data analysis, incorporating innovations and industry trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive data solutions. Essential Qualifications Demonstrated history with at least 15+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting roles. 5+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles, showing the ability to effectively guide and lead a team. 5+ years of experience working with Cloud technologies, such as ADLS, Azure Databricks, Flash, Azure Synapse, Universe DB, DBT, and other big data technologies. Exhibited advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, languages, ML, and frameworks (e.g., Conos, PowerBI, SQL, Python, R). Proficiency in data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to effectively communicate insights. Demonstrated ability to work with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to architect and implement flexible and efficient data analysis solutions. In-depth understanding and practical application of Lakehouse architecture principles, combining the best of data lakes and data warehouses for robust and scalable data management. Advanced SQL skills, with a strong understanding of relational databases and business data, and the ability to write complex SQL queries against multiple data sources. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline. Important industry certifications are a plus. Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain management.
