Job Summary The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and commercializing processes for new products and product optimizations. This will involve conducting hands-on bench and pilot scale tests, designing processes to ensure products are reproducible and robust, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and test processes for new beverage and food products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and commercialize processes for new products and product optimizations Conduct hands-on bench and pilot scale tests to ensure product quality and consistency Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and test processes for new beverage and food products Travel as needed (30%) to conduct product/process commissioning and provide manufacturing support for existing processes Serve as technical leader on cross-functional project teams and effectively manage technical timelines Align with Operations to develop best practices and standards that are consistent across manufacturing facilities Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems that arise from processing food and/or beverage products Remain abreast of new processing technology and present concepts for application Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with various levels of an organization Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Highly organized, self-starter able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt well to change Advanced PC skills: Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with Microsoft Project or similar software Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience in food and beverage processing or a related field Knowledge of manufacturing operations and process improvement techniques Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control measures Experience with project management tools and software Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong leadership and project management skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and quality focus Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits Ocean Spray is committed to the growth and development of its employees.
