This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, quality control, and process improvement, and to contribute to the success of a leading airline company. **Key Responsibilities** The following are some of the key responsibilities of the Quality Control Data Analyst position: * Perform and assist others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components. * Help with creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders. * Assist with exploring ad-hoc requests arising from emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while balancing existing project responsibilities. * Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations by using data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding. * Help with creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements. * Identify irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the team. * Assess effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors * Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision * May perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader. **Essential Qualifications** To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with precision and accuracy. * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Strong business acumen, with the ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * Familiarity with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase. * Ability to understand the problem, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning. * Willingness to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications. * Past internship, capstone project, and research coursework experience is a plus. * Ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-based environment. * Ability to focus on tasks really and be a self-starter. * Past internship experience in a related field is a plus. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data appropriately. * Ability to plan and support large business initiatives. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: * Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering) * Experience with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase. * Experience with data analysis software, such as R or Python. * Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean. * Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements. **Work Environment and Culture** As a remote intern at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
