Job Summary As a Registered Nurse at Monument Health, you will play a vital role in delivering relationship-centered, compassionate, and high-quality care to our patients. You will be part of a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to preventing or addressing illness, disability, or injury, alleviating suffering, and advocating for patient care. Our Registered Nurses are expected to engage in independent judgment to apply the nursing process for assessing, diagnosing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct patient care, following ANA Standards of Professional Nursing Practice, institutional policies, and relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities Utilize the ANA Nursing Process (2010) to perform comprehensive assessments, develop tailored plans, implement care, and evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or situation, and determine the anticipated outcomes for a plan tailored to the specific needs of the patient. Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes, and implement the identified plan to ensure patient progression along the plan. Coordinate care delivery, provide health teaching and health promotion, and use strategies to advance health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes, and analyze assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues. Follow the ANA Standards of Professional Performance (2010), and systematically enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice, and assess personal nursing practice against professional standards and guidelines. Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues, and collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA). Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience. Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
