Key Responsibilities As a Remote Amazon Sortation Center Team Member, your duties will include: • Receiving and sorting inventory to ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer orders • Getting customer orders ready for delivery by scanning, stacking, and palletizing packages • Using technology such as scanners, computers, and handheld printers to track and manage packages • Lifting up to 49 pounds and standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts • Using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around the sortation center • Working at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable) • Going up and down stairs (where applicable) Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts • Ability to use technology such as scanners, computers, and handheld printers • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of packages • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: • Previous experience in a warehouse or sortation center environment • Familiarity with Amazon's technology and processes • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: • Physical stamina: Ability to lift, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts • Technical skills: Ability to use technology such as scanners, computers, and handheld printers • Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and workflows Career Growth Opportunities At Amazon, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
