As a remote call center customer service representative, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with our members, providers, and internal stakeholders to address their inquiries and concerns related to pharmacy benefits. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate patient care advocate to join our remote call center team. As a patient care advocate, you will be responsible for handling customer service inquiries from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients. Your primary goal will be to research and resolve problems in a timely manner, ensuring that our members receive the best possible support and care. You will work independently in a remote setting, using computerized systems to gather information, respond to questions, and document issues and resolutions in a common database. Key Responsibilities Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, and physicians, addressing their questions and concerns related to pharmacy benefits Research and resolve mail order and claims issues, working collaboratively with other operational departments to ensure timely resolutions Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries, using this information to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, ensuring that corrective action is taken to address their needs Adhere to quality and production standards, complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations Perform other duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service environment, preferably in the healthcare industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide compassionate support Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues Proficiency in using computerized systems, including databases and software applications Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet productivity standards Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a pharmacy benefits or healthcare environment Knowledge of pharmacy distribution programs and mail order services Certification in customer service or a related field Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with patients who speak languages other than English Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Communication skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner Problem-solving skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues Interpersonal skills : Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide compassionate support Technical skills : Proficiency in using computerized systems, including databases and software applications Time management skills : Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet productivity standards Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our employees.
