About the Role As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of inbound customer calls, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Your primary focus will be on delivering first-contact resolution and ensuring high customer satisfaction while adhering to defined operational standards. Primary Responsibilities Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls (70-120 calls per day) with a focus on providing exceptional customer service Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to policy coverage, claim status, and claim payments Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policy information and procedures to ensure accurate and effective issue resolution Meet department standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management Utilize multiple systems to manage customer interactions and ensure efficient issue resolution Maintain a quiet and professional workspace while working remotely Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: 1+ year of experience in a high-volume contact center environment (previous receptionist or customer-facing experience also considered) High School Diploma or equivalent Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 20 UPLOAD & 20 DOWNLOAD internet speed (hard-wired connection required) Smartphone to access VPN Basic computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent oral and written communication skills Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm Ability to multi-task and work under pressure Excellent organization and time management skills While not required, the following qualifications are considered a plus: Previous remote work experience Insurance industry experience Training and Schedule Our comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role. The training is 2-3 weeks long, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST. Once training is complete, you will be assigned to a 40-hour workweek, Monday-Friday, with a schedule between 7:30 am - 6:30 pm CST. While we don't typically schedule weekend shifts, there may be opportunities for overtime on weekends.
