Why You'll Love This Job This role is an integral part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at arenaflex Credit Union. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for daily functions related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers at arenaflex Credit Union. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions with accuracy and attention to detail. Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions. Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing. Work member cases/sports assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws. Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks. Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products. Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns. Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring efficient and accurate processing. Complete daily balancing and department closing, maintaining accurate records and reports. Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests. Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers, providing excellent customer service and support. Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, regulations, and procedures. Deposit check returns, research member bad checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers. Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED. Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, vendors, and members. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous customer/member service experience, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and support. Previous banking or Credit Union experience, with knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures. Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems. Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
