Job Overview As a Data Analyst Lead at FedEx Dataworks, you will have the opportunity to design and implement advanced processes and analytics associated with a wide variety of data sets, including data/text mining, analysis, and prediction. Your expertise will enable informed business decisions, and you will play a critical role in gaining insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying highly technical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. You will provide insight from initial concept to fully tested production and communicate results to a broad range of audiences, effectively using current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management. Key Responsibilities Design and implement advanced data analytics processes to drive business decisions Apply technical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple sources Provide insight and recommendations to management through data-driven analysis and visualization Mentor less senior staff and work on cross-functional projects and programs Routinely present to management and communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data analytics and apply this knowledge to drive innovation Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need a strong educational foundation in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics, or finance. A Master's degree in one of these fields, combined with 5 years of experience in data analysis, measurement, and quantitative business problem-solving, is preferred. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in a related field will also be considered.
