Job Overview The Remote Data Entry Assistant/Typist will play a vital role in our Accounting/Finance team, responsible for coding and entering data into our computer systems or databases, verifying the accuracy of the data entered, and performing related clerical duties. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for data management, attention to detail, and strong keyboard skills to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of blithequark. Key Responsibilities Code and enter data into computer systems or databases via a monitor or keyboard with high accuracy and efficiency Correct and update databases to ensure data integrity and consistency Verify the accuracy of data entered, identifying and correcting errors or discrepancies Generate routine computer reports and/or printouts as required Perform related clerical duties, such as filing, scanning, and data retrieval Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability Qualifications and Preferences To be successful in this role, you will need: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: 6-12 months of experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles Expertise: General office skills, including keyboard skills, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently While not essential, we prefer candidates with: Previous data entry experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of data management principles and practices Familiarity with computer systems, databases, and software applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as experience with data entry software and systems Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors Organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Communication skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies quickly Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
