Key Responsibilities As a Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include: Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into our system database Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications Following data program security practices and procedures at all times Securing information by completing database backups daily Performing other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPPA regulations Essential Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need: Education and Experience A high school diploma or equivalent required A minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience Experience in a medical office preferred but not required Technical Skills Complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone Knowledge of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet Qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M.
