Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Essential Plan Account Manager to join our team in Kings County, New York. As an Essential Plan Account Manager, you will play a critical role in increasing marketing synergy and driving overall membership growth in the New York Health Plan. You will work under the direction of the Essential Plan Sales and Account Management team and collaborate with the Business Development and Community Outreach team to establish and cultivate strategic business relationships with key sales and market influencers, potential new customers, and related community institutions. Key Responsibilities Enroll eligible members in the UHC Essential Plan Build and foster relationships with key accounts, including provider offices, community-based organizations, and housing authorities Presents health plan information to providers, business advocacies, and potential eligible members, and is responsible for closing sales Serve as the point of contact for members to provide excellent service and enrollment experience Lead pipeline management and track sales event effectiveness and activities, events, leads, and lead progress, sales, appointments, contacts, and relationship progress daily through internal systems Conduct product information presentations in multiple settings, including in-home consultations Function independently and responsibly with minimal need for supervision Provide input, support, and feedback on promotional opportunities, benefits, and other issues Stay informed on UHC operations, provider network, premiums, member services, claims, explanation of benefits, processes, and other services and issues to provide community partners, prospects, and members with accurate information Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Health and Accident Insurance license, or willingness to obtain a state health/life insurance license within 30 days of hire 2+ years of business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C) direct marketing, outside sales, or community outreach experience Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Valid driver's license, good driving history, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance Ability to travel locally up to 100% of the time within assigned sales territories in the New York market area Ability to work core business hours, Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, and nights and weekends when required Reside within a commutable distance of Kings County, New York (specific zip codes include 11209, 11214, 11226, 11229, 11218, 11235, 11214, 11234, and 11220) Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Experience working with communities of all different ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, diverse populations, and/or underserved communities Outside sales and territory management experience Demonstrated knowledge of Essential Plan Marketplace marketing rules and regulations Bilingual (Russian, Spanish, English, Arabic, French, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Nepali, Persian, Pashto, Punjabi) Proven established professional relationships with non-profits, community sources, CBOs, religious/faith-based organizations, FBOs in designated sales territory Proven ability to act as a team player, work collaboratively with others, and contribute to achieving team goals Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet enrollment goals Ability to communicate complex healthcare information to potential clients Strong sales and marketing skills, with the ability to close sales and meet sales targets Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At UnitedHealthcare, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
